แต่งงานกับ Sharmell Sullivan อดีตนางงาม Miss Black America และอดีตนักมวยปล้ำ/ผู้จัดการใน WWE (แฟน ๆ คุ้นในบท Queen Sharmell) ทั้งคู่มีลูกฝาแฝดชายหญิง เกิดปี 2010 Booker T ยังมีลูกจากความสัมพันธ์ก่อนหน้าอีก 1 คน

ก่อตั้งค่ายมวยปล้ำชื่อ Reality of Wrestling (ROW) ที่เมืองฮูสตัน เพื่อฝึกนักมวยปล้ำรุ่นใหม่ (เช่น Roxanne Perez ก็เริ่มจากค่ายนี้) ROW จัดโชว์เป็นประจำและถูกยกให้เป็นหนึ่งในค่ายอินดี้ที่มีคุณภาพที่สุดในเท็กซัส ทำงานช่วยเหลือเยาวชน โดยเฉพาะผู้ที่มีภูมิหลังยากลำบาก เพราะเขาเองเคยผ่านช่วงชีวิตที่ลำบากมาก่อน
