บาลาอัม

บาลาอัม (อังกฤษ: Balaam, /ˈbeɪlæm/;^[1] ฮีบรู: בִּלְעָם, มาตรฐาน Bīlʿam Tiberian Bīlʿām) บุตรเบโอร์^[2] เป็นบุคคลในคัมภีร์ไบเบิล, ผู้เผยพระวจนะที่ไม่ใช่ชาวอิสราเอล และนักพยากรณ์ผู้อาศัยในเปโธร์ ในบทที่ 22-24 ของหนังสือกันดารวิถี บาลาอัมได้รับการว่าจ้างจากกษัตริย์บาลาคแห่งโมอับให้สาปแช่งชาวอิสราเอล แต่บาลาอัมกลับอวยพรให้ชาวอิสราเอลแทนตามบัญชาของพระเจ้า ภายหลังแผนที่ล่อลวงให้ชาวอิสราเอลให้บูชารูปเคาพและกระทำผิดทำนองคลองธรรมทางเพศ (กันดารวิถี 25:1 -3) ก็เป็นผลงานของบาลาอัม (กันดารวิถี 31:16 )
