ภาษามินติล มีผู้พูดทั้งหมด 40 คน (พ.ศ. 2518) ที่บริเวณแม่น้ำตามุม รัฐปาหัง จัดอยู่ในตระกูลภาษาออสโตรเอเชียติก กลุ่มภาษามอญ-เขมร สาขาอัซลี สาขาย่อยอัซลีเหนือ จัดเป็นภาษาที่ใกล้ตาย อาจจะไม่มีผู้พูดภาษานี้เหลือแล้วในปัจจุบัน
