Nepenthes singalana ( ได้ชื่อตามภูเขา Singgalang, เกาะสุมาตราตะวันตก) ในประเทศอินโดนีเซีย เป็นหม้อข้าวหม้อแกงลิงที่สูงของสุมาตรา มีญาติใกล้ชิดคือ N. diatas และ N. spathulata.
อนุกรมวิธาน
[แก้]ในปี ค.ศ. 2001, Charles Clarke ได้ทำการวิเคราะห์ลำดับชั้นบนพื้นฐานของการวิวัฒนาการชาติพันธุ์ของ หม้อข้าวหม้อแกงลิง บนเกาะสุมาตราและเพนนิซูล่า มาเลเซีย โดยใช้รูปร่างลักษณะ 70 ลักษณะของอนุกรมวิธาน ตามส่วนของแผนภาพวิวัฒนาการชาติพันธุ์ที่ได้ แสดงในส่วนของ "เครือบรรพบุรุษที่ ( Clade 3)", ซึ่งประกอบด้วย N. singalana และชนิดอื่นที่เป็นเครือญาติอีกสามชนิด[1]
