พล็อต[แก้]
โซนิค, เทลส์, เอมี่, นัคเคิลส์ และสติกซ์ อาศัยอยู่ที่ริมชายหาดของเฮดฮอก วิลเลช (Hedgehog Village).[1] พวกเขาต้องปกป้องเกาะจากด็อกเตอร์เอกแมน และหุ่นยนต์ที่เขาประดิษฐ์ไว้เพื่อยึดครองเกาะ.

- นัคเคิลส์ ดิอีคิดนา เป็นอีคิดนาสีแดง อายุ 16 ปี[4] มีความแตกต่างจากรุ่นก่อนคือ สูงกว่า มีกล้ามเนื้อมากกว่า และใส่ถุงมือของนักชกมวยที่มีหนาม.
- เอมี่ โรส เป็นเม่นสีชมพูเพศเมีย อายุ 12 ปี[4] เธอใช้ค้อนยักษ์ในการต่อสู้.
- สติกซ์เดอะแบดเจอร์ เป็นแบดเจอร์ มีทักษะการใช้บูมเมอแรง.
- ด็อกเตอร์เอกแมน นักวิทยาศาสตร์ผู้ชั่วร้าย เป็นศัตรูของโซนิค อาศัยอยู่ที่เกาะไบกอนด์ (Bygone Island). แผนของเขาคือยึดครองเกาะเพื่อสร้างสวนสนุกส่วนตัวของเขา.
- ออร์บอต เป็นลูกน้องของเอกแมน มีรูปทรงกลมสีแดง.
- คิวบอต เป็นลูกน้องของเอกแมน มีรูปทรงลูกบาศ์กสีเหลือง.
