ประวัติ

ชา ซึง-ว็อน ได้ลาออกจากมหาวิทยาลัยซองคยูนกวาน[3] และเริ่มต้นอาชีพนายแบบที่ประสบความสำเร็จในปี 2539[4] เขาได้แสดงละครเรื่อง New York Story ซึ่งก็จะปูทางไปสู่วงการภาพยนตร์ [5]

เขาได้แสดงในภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Holiday In Seoul (2540) เขาเริ่มเป็นที่ดึงดูดความสนใจจากภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Libera Me ในปี 2543 ช่วงฤดูร้อนถัดมาก็ประสบผลสำเร็จอย่างมากจากภาพยนตร์แนวตลก เรื่อง Kick the Moon

ปี 2554 แสดงนำในละครคอมมิดี้โรแมนติกเรื่อง ยัยนี่โดนใจซุปตาร์ [12] และปี 2555 ได้เล่นละครเวทีเรื่อง Bring Me My Chariot Fire [13]

ปี 2557 ซึงว็อนได้เซ็นสัญญาเป็นนักแสดงค่าย วายจีเอนเตอร์เทนเมนต์[14] และในปีเดียวกันก็ได้แสดงภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Man on High Heels[15]

ปี 2558 ซึงว็อนได้ปรากฏตัวในรายการเรียลลิตี้ Three Meals a Day: Fishing Village และทำให้เขาได้รับฉายา "Chajumma" (ชาจุมม่า) ซึ่งมาจากคำว่า ajumma (อาจุมม่า) ในภาษาเกาหลี เนื่องจากทักษะการทำอาหารของเขา[16] และต่อมาได้รับบทเจ้าชายควังแฮในละครเรื่อง Splendid Politics[17]
