รายชื่อเมืองเจ้าภาพกีฬาโอลิมปิก เป็นรายชื่อที่รวบรวมเมืองที่ได้รับคัดเลือกเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดแข่งขันกีฬาโอลิมปิกแต่ละครั้ง ทั้งฤดูร้อนและฤดูหนาวตั้งแต่การแข่งขันกีฬาโอลิมปิกตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2439 ในโอลิมปิกฤดูร้อน 1896 ซึ่งเป็นการแข่งขันกีฬาโอลิมปิกครั้งแรก ตั้งแต่นั้นมาโอลิมปืกฤดูร้อนจะจัดขึ้นทุก 4 ปี เรียกว่า "โอลิมเปียด" แต่ก็ไม่ครบทุกครั้ง ซึ่งมีการแข่งขันกีฬาโอลิมปิกฤดูร้อน 28 ครั้งใน 23 เมืองและการแข่งขันกีฬาโอลิมปิกฤดูหนาว 23 ครั้งใน 20 เมือง นอกจากนี้ฤดูร้อน 3 ครั้ง และฤดูหนาว 2 ครั้ง มีกำหนดที่จะจัดการแข่งขัน แต่ถูกยกเลิกเนื่องจากสงคราม ได้แก่ เบอร์ลิน (ฤดูร้อน) ในปี ค.ศ. 1916; โตเกียว / เฮลซิงกิ (ฤดูร้อน) และซัปโปโร / Garmisch-Partenkirchen (ฤดูหนาว) ในปี ค.ศ. 1940; และลอนดอน (ฤดูร้อน) และ Cortina d'Ampezzo, อิตาลี (ฤดูหนาว) ในปี ค.ศ. 1944 การแข่งขันกีฬาโอลิมปิกฤดูร้อนปี ค.ศ. 1906 ถูกจัดขึ้นอย่างเป็นทางการในกรุงเอเธนส์ แต่อย่างไรก็ตามในปี ค.ศ. 1949 คณะกรรมการโอลิมปิกสากล (IOC) ตัดสินใจที่จะไม่นับการแข่งขันในปี ค.ศ. 1906 [1]

However, the Russian Olympic Committee is part of the European Olympic Committees and has its official seat in Moscow (this was also the case for the former Soviet Olympic Committee). Also, Moscow is on the European side of the most commonly recognized boundary between Europe and Asia (Sochi is in Asia per the usual geographic boundary, being just south of the Greater Caucasus' western end; but political approximations of the continental boundary place it in Europe).
