เล็กซัส (อังกฤษ: Lexus; ญี่ปุ่น: レクサス) เป็นชื่อบริษัทผลิตรถยนต์ของญี่ปุ่น อยู่ในเครือโตโยต้า ผลิตรถประเภทพรีเมี่ยม เล็กซัส เป็นรถระดับพรีเมี่ยมที่ขายดีที่สุด เป็นอันดับ 4 ใน สหรัฐอเมริกา

จุดเริ่มต้น

เล็กซัส ได้ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2532 รถยนต์รุ่นแรกคือ แอลเอส 400 และ อีเอส 250 โดยใช้นำรถยนต์โตโยต้ารุ่นเซลซิเออร์ (Celsior) และรุ่นวินด้อม (Windom) เข้าไปขายในแบรนด์เล็กซัส ซึ่งใช้เครื่องยนต์ขนาด 4000 ซีซี V8 รหัส 1UZ-FE สำหรับแอลเอส 400 และ ขนาด 2500 ซีซี V6 รหัส 2VZ-FE สำหรับอีเอส 250

เล็กซัส เริ่มทำการตลาดครั้งแรกที่สหรัฐอเมริกาเป็นที่แรก ต่อมาก็ได้ทำการตลาดที่อังกฤษ แคนาดา ออสเตรเลีย และประเทศอื่นๆ รวมถึงประเทศไทย

จากที่เคยนำรถโตโยต้าระดับพรีเมี่ยม ไปขายในแบรนด์เล็กซัส แต่ในปี พ.ศ. 2549 ซึ่งโตโยต้าได้เริ่มเปิดตลาดเล็กซัสในประเทศญี่ปุ่น โตโยต้าได้เปลี่ยนรถรุ่นต่างๆ เหล่านั้น มารวมเป็นแบรนด์เล็กซัส ซึ่งรุ่นแรกที่โตโยต้าพัฒนาโดยเฉพาะสำหรับเล็กซัส และเป็นรุ่นแรกที่เล็กซัสนำมาเปิดตลาดในประเทศญี่ปุ่นคือ เล็กซัส จีเอส350 ซึ่งก่อนหน้านี้ คือรุ่นเดียวกับ โตโยต้า อริสโต้ (ARISTO)

ฮันเตอร์คอมมิวนิเคชัน ผู้ออกแบบสัญลักษณ์ของเล็กซัสได้อธิบายถึงโลโก้ของเล็กซัสว่า เป็นรูปตัวอักษร L ตัวเอียง อยู่ในกรอบวงกลม โดยคำว่า เล็กซัส (Lexus) ย่อมาจาก "Luxury Edition for the United States"
