อ่าวกาลิฟอร์เนีย (สเปน: golfo de California), ทะเลกอร์เตส (mar de Cortés)[3] หรือ ทะเลเบร์เมโฆ (mar Bermejo)[4] ตั้งอยู่ทางตะวันตกของประเทศเม็กซิโก ระหว่างคาบสมุทรบาฆากาลิฟอร์เนียกับพื้นที่แผ่นดินใหญ่ของประเทศ พื้นที่อ่าวเกิดจากการที่แนวเปลือกโลกเคลื่อนตัวสวนทางกันยาวขึ้นไปทางเหนือถึงสหรัฐ ซึ่งกลายเป็นแนวรอยเลื่อนแซนแอนเดรอัส[5]
