ภาษาอาฟรีกานส์ (อาฟรีกานส์: Afrikaans) เป็นภาษากลุ่มเจอร์แมนิกตะวันตกที่มีผู้พูดในแอฟริกาใต้, นามิเบีย และมีจำนวนน้อยในบอตสวานา, แซมเบีย และซิมบับเว พัฒนาจากภาษาพื้นเมืองดัตช์[3][4]ในฮอลแลนด์ (สำเนียงฮอลแลนด์)[5][6]ที่ผู้โดยผู้ตั้งถิ่นฐานชาวยุโรป (ดัตช์, ฝรั่งเศส และเยอรมัน) และทาสของพวกเขาในแอฟริกาใต้ แล้วเริ่มพัฒนารูปแบบของตนเองในช่วงคริสต์ศตวรรษที่ 18[7] นักภาษาศาสตร์ส่วนใหญ่ถือให้ภาษาอาฟรีกานส์เป็นภาษาครีโอลบางส่วน[8] เช่นเดียวกันกับนักวิชาการด้านภาษาศาสตร์อาฟรีกานส์ที่ให้ภาษานี้เป็นภาษาครีโอลบางส่วน[9]
