ภาษายูการิติก เป็นภาษาที่พบหลักฐานในจารึกที่พบในบริเวณนครรัฐยูการิต ที่ขุดค้นพบในประเทศซีเรีย เป็นภาษาที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับภาษาฮีบรู และมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับศาสนายูดายและศาสนาโบราณอื่นๆในบริเวณนั้น เป็นภาษากลุ่มเซมิติก เขียนด้วยอักษรรูปลิ่มที่ต่างจากอักษรรูปลิ่มอื่นเพราะใช้แทนเสียงพยัญชนะ โดยมีพยัญชนะ 22 ตัว พบจารึกอักษรนี้ในช่วง 857 – 657 ปีก่อนพุทธศักราช นครรัฐยูการิตถูกทำลายเมื่อราว 637 – 627 ปีก่อนพุทธศักราช
ไวยากรณ์
ลักษณะทางไวยากรณ์ของภาษายูการิติกใกล้เคียงกับภาษาในกลุ่มภาษาเซมิติกมากโดยฉพาะในภาษาอาหรับคลาสสิก และภาษาอัคคาเดียน มีเพศทางไวยากรณ์สองเพศคือเพศชายและเพศหญิง นามและคุณศัพท์มี 3 การกคือ ประธาน กรรมและแสดงความเป็นเจ้าของ มีจำนวน 3 แบบคือ เอกพจน์ ทวิพจน์ และพหูพจน์ ลักษณะของคำกริยาเป็นเช่นเดียวกับภาษากลุ่มเซมิติกตะวันตกเฉียงเหนืออื่นๆ การเรียงประโยคเป็นแบบกริยา-ประธาน-กรรม คำแสดงความเป็นเจ้าของมาก่อน และคำนามมาก่อนคำคุณศัพท์ จัดเป็นภาษากลุ่มเซมิติกที่มีลักษณะอนุรักษ์นิยม มีระบบของการกและการเรียงคำตามแบบภาษาเซมิติกดั้งเดิม
ระบบการเขียน
อักษรยูการิติกเป็นอักษรรูปลิ่มที่เป็นอักษรไร้สระ ใช้เมื่อราว 1,000 ปีก่อนพุทธศักราช อักษรนี้มีลักษณะคล้ายอักษรรูปลิ่มในเมโสโปเตเมีย แต่ไม่มีความเกี่ยวข้องกัน จัดเป็นตัวอย่างที่เก่าที่สุดของอักษรในกลุ่มเซมิติกตะวันตกที่ใชกับภาษาฟินิเชียน ภาษาอราเมอิก และภาษาฮีบรู มีอักษร 22 – 31 ตัว ใช้เฉพาะบริเวณยูการิต ไม่พบที่อื่น
แผ่นดินเหนียวที่จารึกอักษรยูการิติกเป็นหลักฐานรุ่นแรกๆของการเรียงลำดับอักษรในเขตเลอวานต์และเซมิติกใต้ รวมทั้งของอักษรฮีบรู อักษรกรีก และอักษรละติน อักษรชนิดนี้เขียนจากซ้ายไปขวา

ภาษายูการิติกมีเสียงพยัญชนะ 28 เสียง โดยมีเสียงกึ่งสระ 2 เสียงและมีสระ 8 เสียง (สั้น 3 ยาว 5)ลักษณะทางสัทวิทยาใกล้เคียงกับภาษาคานาอันไนต์ ต่างกันที่ว่า ภาษายูการิติกไม่มีการยกเสียงสระจาก ā → ō
