หอยนักล่าเกลียวเชือก (ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: Diaphera prima) เป็นหอยนักล่าในวงศ์ Diapheridae ซึ่งเป็นหอยวงศ์ใหม่ของโลก คำว่า 'prima' เป็นภาษาละติน แปลว่า ครั้งแรกหรือที่หนึ่ง หมายถึงการพบหอยในวงศ์ Diaperidae และสกุล Diaphera เป็นครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย[1]
ลักษณะทั่วไป
เปลือกรูปทรงกระบอกเรียว มีสีขาวเวียนขวาและเรียบ สูงประมาณ 6.2 มิลลิเมตร กว้าง 2 มิลลิเมตร เปลือกมี 7-8 ชั้น ปลายยอดมนทู่ มีเปลือกคอยาวและฟันที่แหลมคมซึ่งใช้ใการล่าเหยื่อ[1]
แหล่งอาศัย
มักอาศัยตามพื้นที่ชื้น มีเศษซากใบไม้ทับถมเน่าเปื่อยโดยเฉพาะในแนวเขาหินปูน มักหลบซ่อนอยู่ใต้ซากใบไม้ในตอนกลางวันและออกหากินหลังฝนตก ขณะที่มีอากาศชื้นและตอนกลางคืน โดยจะล่าหอยชนิดอื่นที่มีขนาดเล็กและไข่แมลงต่างๆ เป็นอาหาร ซึ่งมีความสำคัญต่อระบบนิเวศในพื้นที่ ในด้านการควบคุมประชากรแมลงไม่ให้มีมากจนเกินไป[1]
การแพร่กระจาย
หอยในสกุลนี้ส่วนใหญ่พบในประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ประมาณ 40 ชนิด ในประเทศอื่นๆ แถบอินโดจีนพบ 5 ชนิด ส่วนในประเทศไทยพบเฉพาะในภาคตะวันออก ตามแนวเขาหินปูน ในเขตอำเภอบ่อทอง จังหวัดชลบุรี , อำเภอเขาชะเมา จังหวัดระยอง และอำเภอเขาฉกรรจ์ จังหวัดสระแก้ว[1]
