วิทยาธารน้ำแข็ง (อังกฤษ: Glaciology) เป็นศาสตร์เกี่ยวกับธารน้ำแข็ง น้ำแข็ง และปรากฏการณ์ธรรมชาติที่เกี่ยวกับน้ำแข็ง

นักธารน้ำแข็งแบ่งธารน้ำแข็งออกเป็นสองชนิด คือ ธารน้ำแข็งแอล์ไพน์ ซึ่งการสะสมจะอยู่ในหุบเขา และ ธารน้ำแข็งพื้นทวีปที่การสะสมไม่ได้จำกัดเฉพาะในหุบเขาซึ่งครั้งหนึ่งเคยครอบคลุมพื้นที่ส่วนใหญ่ของทวีปในซีกโลกเหนือ
