ม็อบ (วิดีโอเกม)
ม็อบ (อังกฤษ: mob) (ย่อมาจากคำว่า โมไบล์ (อังกฤษ: mobile)) คือ ตัวละครที่ผู้เล่นไม่ได้ควบคุม (NPC) ที่ถูกควบคุมโดยคอมพิวเตอร์ในเกมคอมพิวเตอร์ เช่นในเกมเอ็มเอ็มโออาร์พีจี (MMORPG)[1] หรือ มัด (MUD)[2][3] ขึ้นอยู่กับบริบทของตัวละครในเกมว่าจะถือว่าตัวละครนั้นเป็น "ม็อบ" หรือไม่[4][2] หรือการใช้คำนี้อาจจะเป็นการจำกัดความเป็นมิตรของเอ็นพีซี (NPC) และ/หรือเอ็นพีซีนั้นอ่อนแอเกินไปที่จะโจมตี[1] ในการใช้งานทั่วไปหมายถึงตัวละครเดียว ๆ หรือตัวละครหลาย ๆ ตัวในกลุ่มจะเรียกว่า ม็อบ ในเกมกราฟิกที่ทันสมัย "ม็อบ" อาจจะใช้เพื่อหมายถึงเอ็นพีซีจำนวนมากที่ผู้เล่นหวังที่จะล่าหรือฆ่า ยกเว้นเอ็นพีซีที่มีส่วนร่วมในการโต้ตอบหรือขายของ ซึ่งเอ็นพีซีเหล่านี้เราจะไม่สามารถโจมตีมันได้[1] "ม็อบมีชื่อ" (อังกฤษ: named mob) คือ ม็อบที่โดดเด่นโดยการมีชื่อเฉพาะเป็นของตัวเองมากกว่าที่เป็นเรียกว่าม็อบทั่ว ๆ ไป (ม็อบทั่ว ๆ ไป เช่น ผี พลเมือง เป็นต้น)[5] "ม็อบใบ้" (อังกฤษ: dumb mob) คือ ม็อบที่ไม่มีพฤติกรรมที่ซับซ้อนที่จะสามารถโจมตีหรือเคลื่อนไหวไปรอบ ๆ ได้[4]
