ชื่อของเธอ

"Sophea Duch" ในข่าวภาษาไทยใช้ว่า "ดุจ โสภา"[1] แต่ถ้าออกเสียงในภาษาเขมรจะอ่านเป็น "ดุจ โสเภีย" เพราะฉะนั้นควรจะใช้ชื่อไหนเป็นชื่อบทความครับ?เลือกแล้วเป็น "ดุจ โสเภีย"

I think we should pronounce it as :

One of the "Sor" letters in ภาษา-ไทย,

followed by "phi" which means brother / sister
followed by "Ar-" as the 1st syllable of English word "Article"

the last name Duch should start with "D" & rhyme with "Onnut/Onnuch" (BTS Station)

Anybody can sort this out ? I was told in thailand there are 10,000,000 speakers of ภาษา-กัมพูชา , they might help ?? Me kind of "put thai gieng" but can not write any :-(((

When [pʰ] followed by [aː], it will pronounce [pʰiaː] as one syllable, this is the reason why her name has "e" between "ph" and "a". And you must know that [iaː] already has vowel in Thai, "เ–ีย". So "ดุจ โสเภีย" should be the nearest Khmer transcription in Thai. Khmer language also has no tone symbol, so do not stress on [pʰi] or anywhere. --Octahedron80 01:50, 5 กรกฎาคม 2007 (UTC)

One more thing, don't add "เยอะแยะ" if you don't know how many they are. You can estimate the number if you can't specify. "หนัง" has ambiguous meaning in Thai so it must be changed to "ภาพยนตร์" like other articles here. --Octahedron80 02:02, 5 กรกฎาคม 2007 (UTC)
