"สุข" เป็นหัวข้อที่ผู้นับถือศาสนาพุทธให้ความสำคัญมาก เพราะเป็นสิ่งที่มนุษย์แสวงหาเพื่อให้ได้พบกับเสรีภาพและการหลุดพ้นจากความทุกข์ทั้งปวง การสอนของศาสนาพุทธใช้หลักธรรมที่เรียกกันว่า[[มรรค]] หรือหนทาง 8 ประการในการดับทุกข์เพื่อ[[นิพพาน]] สุขสูงสุดสามารถมีได้ด้วยการเอาชนะ[[ตัณหา]]ทุกรูปแบบ ส่วนสุขจากทรัพย์สินหรือความมั่นคงในชีวิตและการมีมิตรภาพที่ก็เป็นที่ยอมรับว่าเป็นเป้าหมายที่มีคุณค่าสำหรับบุคคลทั่วไป |
