Causative Form - have something done, have someone do something

ในภาษาอังกฤษจะมีประโยคแบบพิเศษอยู่แบบหนึ่ง ซึ่งประธานของประโยคไม่ได้เป็นคนทำการกระทำนั้นด้วยตัวเอง แต่ให้บุคคลอื่นทำการกระทำต่างๆ ให้ตัวเอง เช่น หากเราจะไปตัดผม (โดยให้ช่างตัดผมตัดให้) เราจะไม่สามารถพูดว่า I will cut my hair. ได้ เพราะคนฟังจะเข้าใจผิดว่าเราจะทำการตัดผมของเราด้วยตัวเราเอง

นี่เป็นที่มาของการนำประโยค causative form มาใช้ ซึ่งมีหลักให้ท่องง่ายๆ คือ have something done และ have someone do something

ใช้บอกว่าประธานให้คนอื่นทำอะไรให้ แต่ไม่ได้บอกว่าบุคคลนั้นเป็นใคร เช่น

• ใช้ get แทน have ได้ทั้งหมด

จะเห็นได้ว่ากริยาแท้ในประโยคเหล่านี้คือ have มันจึงสามารถถูกผันได้ ส่วน done ก็คือกริยาไม่แท้ในรูป past participle (ช่อง 3) ซึ่งจะคงรูปอยู่อย่างนี้ตลอด

จะเห็นได้ว่ากริยาแท้ในประโยคเหล่านี้คือ have มันจึงสามารถถูกผันได้ ส่วน do ก็คือกริยาไม่แท้ในรูป infinitive (ช่อง 1) ซึ่งจะคงรูปอยู่อย่างนี้ตลอด

กริยาที่เหลือ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น command / ask / persuade / order / request / getหรือคำขอคำสั่งต่างๆ ต้องตามด้วย someone to do something เสมอเช่น

• I will get him to renovate my house.
• He is ordering his friend to clean his car.
• She asked the maintenance staff to fix the broken windows.

Adjective จาก Verb เติม ing หรือ ed

• verb + ed หรือ ing ทำหน้าที่เสมือน adjective ก็ได้ครับ เช่น falling rain = ฝนที่กำลังตก, fallen angel = เทวาดาที่ตก (เทวดาตกสวรรค์), loving one = คนที่กำลังมีความรัก, loved one = คนซึ่งเป็นที่รัก, loving pair = คนสองคนที่กำลังมีความรัก, loved pair = คนสองคนซึ่งเป็นที่รัก,

ถ้าคำนาม (noun) นั้นเป็นผู้กระทำกริยานั้นเองก็ใช้ในรูป v.ing

• Jenny is a working woman. = ผู้หญิงที่ทำงานเก่ง
• demanding person = คนที่ชอบเรียกร้อง

ถ้าคำนาม (noun) นั้นถูกกระทำโดยกริยานั้นโดยผู้อื่น ใช้ในรูป v.3
