พันธกิจ (บ้างก็ใช้ว่า ภารกิจ) หมายถึงคำแถลงความมุ่งประสงค์ของบริษัทหรือองค์การ พันธกิจควรชี้นำการกระทำขององค์การ ขยายความเป้าหมายโดยรวมทั้งหมด จัดเตรียมหนทางและชี้นำการตัดสินใจ พันธกิจเป็นการจัดเตรียม "ข่ายงานหรือบริบทภายในแผนกลยุทธ์ของบริษัทที่ได้กำหนดไว้" [1]
