อักซุม (อังกฤษ: Axum หรือ Aksum; /ˈæksuːm/; ทือกรึญญา: ኣኽሱም; กืออึซ: አኵስም Ak̠ʷsəm; อามารา: አክሱም Ak̠sum) เป็นเมืองในภูมิภาคติกรายของเอธิโอเปีย มีประชากรราว 66,800 คนในปี 2015[1] อักซุมเป็นจุดหมายปลายทางของนักท่องเที่ยวจนกระทั่งเกิดสงครามติกรายในปี 2020
อักซุมเป็นที่ตั้งของราชธานีในอดีต[2][3][4] ของจักรวรรดิอักซุม ซึ่งร่ำรวยและเรืองอำนาจจากการควบคุมการค้าทางทะเล และมีอำนาจในภูมิภาคระหว่าง 400 ปีก่อนคริสต์กาลจนถึงศตวรรษที่ 10 ยูเนสโกประกาศให้แหล่งโบราณสถานต่าง ๆ แห่งอักซุมเป็นแหล่งมรดกโลกในปี 1980 ด้วยคุณค่าทางวัฒนธรรมและประวัติศาสตร์

At Aksum itself, little is known about the earliest phases, such as might aid our understanding of the transition. Archaeological investigation has been restricted by the presence of the modern town, and penetration of the lowest levels is impeded by later features which merit preservation.
