The Grand Palace is a large complex of buildings. It served as the Official residence of the Kings of Thailand from the 18th century. Construction of the Palace began in 1782, during the reign of King Rama I. The Palace has been constantly expanded and many additional structures were added over time. The present King of Thailand; King Rama IX, does not live here but at a different palace. Bangkok, Thailand
When I asked anyone about the king not one person had anything bad to say, I must say that in all my travel I have not heard so much love for a monarch or ruler.
