Wat Sriratanaram Monastery ได้รับใบอนุญาตจากองค์กรการกุศลประเทศอังกฤษ เลขที่ 1124872
         วัดศรีรัตนารามเป็นวัดในสังกัดของคณะสงฆ์ไทย โดยมีที่ปรึกษาและกำกับดูแลโดยสำนักงานพระธรรมทูตไทยในต่างแดน โดยได้รับความอุปถัมภ์จากเจ้าประคุณสมเด็จพระพุฒาจารย์ (เกี่ยว อุปเสโน) ได้ถวายพระนามพระพุทธรูปพระประธานประจำวัดว่า” พระพุทธรัตมงคล”(ปี พ.ศ.2549)เป็นต้นมา  และหลวงพ่อพระพรหมวชิรญาณ กรรมการมหาเถรสมาคม วัดยานนาวา กรุงเทพมหานครได้รับเป็นวัดอุถัมภ์ในปี 2555 เป็นต้นมา  
ที่ตั้งอยู่ของวัด
วัดตั้งอยู่ทางเหนือของเมืองแมนเชสเตอร์ ห่างจากตัวเมือง จำนวน 7 ไมล์ ในพื้นที่ จำนวน 57 ไร่ 2 งาน 40 ตารางวา ในราคา 500.000.00 ปอนด์
 สาเหตุการสร้างวัด   เกิดจากความจำนงค์ของพระธรรมทูตคือ ดร. พระมหาเหลา ปัญญาสิริ (ปัจจุบันได้เลื่อนสมณศักดิ์เป็นพระราชคณะชั้นสามัญ ที่พระราชวิเทศปัญญาคุณ,ดร. ) อนุญาตให้พระธรรมทูตอาสาสมัคร (พระมหาปกานนท์ พุทธิเมธี ปัจจุบันเลื่อนสมณศักดิ์พระครูสัญญาบัตรชั้นพิเศษที่ พระครูศรีรัตนธรรมวิเทศ,ดร.) ไปตั้งศูนย์ปฏิบัติธรรมที่แมนเชสเตอร์โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนนิมนต์จากคุณเพียพร วระไวย์เบดดาร์ด และคณะอุบาสกอุบาสิกาในเขตนอร์ทอีสท์ และได้ขออนุญาตตั้งเป็นวัดหรือองค์กรกุศลถูกต้องของประเทศอังกฤษ ในวันที่ 28 ตุลาคม 2549  ได้ทำการเปิดวัดโดยประธานพระธรรมทูตไทยในสหราชอาณาจักรและคณะสงฆ์ไทยในสหราชอาณาจักร
จุดประสงค์ของการตั้งวัด
1.เพื่อถวายเป็นพระราชกุศลแด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวในวโรกาสทรงครองราช
ครอบ 60พระพรรษา
2.เพื่อถวายเป็นพุทธบูชาและบูชาบุพการี
3.เพื่อเป็นศูนย์การศึกษาพัฒนาสงเคราะห์ภิกษุสามเณรอุบาสกอุบาสิกา
4.เพื่อเป็นหน่วยงานที่ประสานกับองค์กรกุศลไม่เกี่ยวข้องการเมือง

1. เปิดโรงเรียนสอนภาษาและวัฒนธรรมไทยแก่เด็กเยาวชน ลูกครึ่งไทยอังกฤษ ที่เกิดและเจริญเติบโตในต่างแดน 
2. จัดให้มีการปฏิบัติธรรม ตามโอกาสสำคัญ เช่นวันแม่ วันพ่อและเทศกาลสำคัญต่างๆ 
3. จัดโครงการบวชเณรเพื่อแม่พ่อและโครงการรักถิ่นเกิด 
4. จัดโครงการมอบทุนกาศึกษาสงเคราะห์แก่พระเณรเด็กเยาวชนที่ด้อยโอกาส 
5. จัดผลิตสื่อธรรมะ พิมพ์นิตยสาร สายใย เพื่อเป็นสื่อสัมพันธ์พี่น้องชาวไทยชาวพุทธในยุโรป 
6. จัดโครงการอบรมส่งเสริมพัฒนาบุคลากรทางธรรม ด้านภาษาอังกฤษและธรรม 
7. โครงการกระปุกออมบุญเกื้อหนุนพระศาสนา และกองบุญสะสมเพื่อศาสนทายาท 
8. โครงการสร้างพระพุทธใหญ่ถวายเป็นราชกุศลฯ และพุทธอุทยาน ที่บ้านบ่อทองคำ

According to Mrs Peanporn Beddard and her friends in the North-west they invited monks from (Phramaha Paganon Pilapan and others) The Buddhavihara Temple Aston Birmingham UK) in March 2006 to set up the Buddhist centre in Manchester. And Dr PhrakruPanyasudhavidhest (Dr.PM Laow Panyasiri) the abbot of the Buddhavihara temple gave an opportunity to PM Paganon Pilapan to come to Manchester for the Thai and Buddhist community. March 2006.

         Sri Ratanaram Temple, a temple belonging to the Thai Sangha.
