สกุลกล้วย (Musa) เป็นหนึ่งในสามสกุลของวงศ์กล้วย (Musaceae) ประกอบด้วยกล้วยและกล้าย มีมากกว่า 50 ชนิด มีการนำไปใช้งานหลากหลาย พืชสกุลนี้แม้จะเติบโตสูงเหมือนต้นไม้ แต่กล้วยและกล้ายไม่มีเนื้อไม้และที่ปรากฎให้เห็นเป็นลำต้นนั้น เป็นเพียงก้านใบที่มีขนาดใหญ่ ทำให้มันกลายเป็นพืชโตชั่วฤดูขนาดยักษ์
