โครงสร้างพื้นฐาน (อังกฤษ: infrastructure) เป็นโครงสร้างทางกายภาพและโครงสร้างหลักของหน่วยงานสำหรับใช้งานภายในชุมชน[1] หรือใช้บริการตามความจำเป็นเพื่อรูปแบบทางเศรษฐศาสตร์[2]

ความหมาย[แก้]

คำว่า โครงสร้างพื้นฐาน มักถูกใช้ในความหมายที่รองรับการใช้งานของประชาชน เช่น ถนน ระบบประปา ระบบน้ำทิ้ง ระบบไฟฟ้า และ ระบบสื่อสาร โดยในหลายครั้ง โครงสร้างพื้นฐานถูกสร้างขึ้นเพื่อตอบสนองอุตสาหกรรมเพื่อผลิตสินค้าหรือบริการ นอกจากนี้คำว่าโครงสร้างพื้นฐานบางครั้งยังกล่าวถึงระบบพื้นฐานที่ตอบสนองประชาชนเช่น โรงพยาบาล หรือ โรงเรียน[3] ในทางการทหาร คำว่าโครงสร้างพื้นฐานกล่าวถึงอาคารหรือการส่วนที่เตรียมใช้ในการสู้รบและปฏิบัติการทางการทหาร[4]
