ฟันดังโกได้เปิดตัวครั้งแรกในสแมคดาวน์ ปี 2013[10] ต่อมาได้เปิดศึกกับคริส เจอริโค โดยในรอว์ 18 มีนาคม 2013 เจอริโคให้สัมภาษณ์เกี่ยวกับแมตช์ชิงแชมป์อินเตอร์คอนติเนนทัล ฟันดังโกเข้ามาขัดจังหวะ แต่เจอริโคล้อเลียนชื่อของฟันดังโก ทำให้ฟันดังโกบอกว่าแกจะต้องเรียนรู้วิธีเรียกให้ถูก[11] ในสแมคดาวน์ 22 มีนาคม 2013 เจอริโคได้เจอกับแจ็ก สแวกเกอร์ เจอริโคพยายามจะใส่ Lionsalz แต่ฟันดังโกโดดขึ้นมาเตะก้านคอ ก่อนจะเป็นสแวกเกอร์กลับมาใส่ Swagger bomb กดนับ 3 ชนะ หลังแมตช์ฟันดังโกตามมาอัดเจอริโคต่อและถามว่าชั้นชื่ออะไร ก่อนปิดท้ายด้วยท่า Leg drop[12]
