ประวัติในสังเวียนมวยปล้ำ

มิค โฟลีย์ ใฝ่ฝันว่าตัวเองจะได้เป็นนักมวยปล้ำ และเขาชื่นชอบ จิมมี่ "ซูเปอร์ฟลาย" สนูกก้า มาก ทั้งท่าทาง ทั้งลีลาต่างๆ ของเขา ถึงขนาดอัดวีดีโอที่เป็นแมตช์ของเขาอย่างเดียวเก็บไว้เป็นหลายม้วน แถมลองทำท่า Diving Headbutt ที่เป็นท่าไม้ตายของ จิมมี่ สนูกก้า บนเตียงตัวเอง อีกด้วย หลังจากนั้นเขาก็เริ่มทำความฝันของตัวเองให้เป็นจริงโดยไปฝึกทักษะมวยปล้ำที่สมาคมแห่งหนึ่ง และไฝ่ฝันต่อว่าจะได้ไปปล้ำที่สมาคม WWF ซึ่งเขาได้ปล้ำแมตช์เดียวในแจ็คเก็ด ก็แพ้แล้ว จึงลาออกจาก WWF และไปฝึกมวยปล้ำที่ญี่ปุ่น ในนามของ แคคตัส แจ็ค ซึ่งเขาก็ถนัดในการปล้ำแบบ เดท แมตช์ หรือ ฮาร์ดคอร์ ซะด้วย จึงได้รับการผลักดันให้เป็นนักมวยปล้ำเด่นๆในสมาคมหนึ่งในญี่ปุ่น จากนั้นก็ได้มาปล้ำที่เยอรมนี โดยเขาขึ้นปล้ำกับ ลีโอ ไวท์ หรือ บิ๊ก แวน เวเดอร์ ก็ยังคงปล้ำแบบฮาร์ดคอร์ อยู่ดีและเป็นที่สนใจในสมาคมมวยปล้ำของ อเมริกา หลายแห่ง ไม่นาน มิค โฟลีย์ ก็กลับมาที่ อเมริกา และเซ็นสัญญากับสมาคม WCW หลังจากนั้น 3 ปี ก็ย้ายไปอยู่ ECW ก่อนที่จะเซ็นสัญญากับ WWF ในปี 1996 ในนามของ แมนไคนด์ และก็มีเรื่องอยู่กับ ดิอันเดอร์เทเกอร์ และมีจุดๆหนึ่งที่ทำให้ WWF และคนดูทุกๆคนนับถือและยอมรับในความเป็นนักมวยปล้ำของเขา ในศึก คิงออฟเดอะริง ปี 1998 แมนไคนด์ จะต้องเจอกับ ดิ อันเดอร์เทคเกอร์ ในแมตช์ เฮลล์อินเอเซลล์ และเขาก็ได้ถูกเหวี่ยงลงมาจากบนสุดของกรงเหล็กลงมากระแทกกับโต๊ะผู้บรรยายพัง จนเจ็บซี่โครงและไหล่ แต่เขาก็ยังไม่ยอม ยังจะเข้าไปสู้ และครั้งที่ 2 ก็โดนท่า โชคสแลม ลงมาบนเวทีข้างล่างอีก แต่ก็ยังใจแข็งสู้ต่อ ซึ่งทำให้ทุกๆคนเลื่อมใสในสปีริต การเป็นนักมวยปล้ำของ มิค โฟลีย์ ตั้งแต่นั้นมา หลังจากนั้นก็พักการปล้ำไปนานและกลับมาในนามของ ดู๊ด เลิฟ ซึ่งเป็นคนที่ชอบแต่งตัวหลายบุคลิก และกลายมาเป็น แคคตัส แจ็ค สุดท้ายก็กลายมาเป็น แมนไคนด์ และจับคู่กับ เดอะ ร็อค ได้คว้าแชมป์แท็กทีม 8 สมัย แชมป์โลกอีก 3 สมัย จากนั้นก็มีเรื่องกับ ทริปเปิล เอช และก็แพ้ให้กับ ทริปเปิล เอช ในปี 1999 ต่อมา มิค โฟลีย์ ได้ย้ายไปสังกัดอยู่ค่าย TNA จนถึงปี 2011 มิค โฟลีย์ ได้กลับมาใน WWE อีกครั้ง ในศึกรอว์ วันที่ 14 พฤศจิกายน ค.ศ. 2011 ต่อมา ในศึก รอยัลรัมเบิล (2012) มิค โฟลีย์ ได้เข้าร่วมในแมตช์ รอยัลรัมเบิล โดยออกมาเป็นลำดับที่ 7 สุดท้าย มิค โฟลีย์ ก็ไม่ได้เป็นผู้ชนะ
