Comamonadaceae เป็นวงศ์หนึ่งของชั้น Betaproteobacteria[3] เช่นเดียวกับไฟลัม Pseudomonadota ทั้งหมด วงศ์นี้เป็น แบคทีเรียแกรมลบ จุลินทรีย์ที่ใช้ออกซิเจนและสปีชีส์ส่วนใหญ่สามารถเคลื่อนที่ได้โดยใช้แฟลเจลลัม เซลล์จะมีรูปร่างโค้ง[4]
