ประวัติของวัตถุนี้
Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde bereits 1908 in ähnlicher Form (vorn geteilt; unten in Grün ein linksschräger Balken als Zeichen der Zugehörigkeit zum Rheinland) . Der preußische Innenminister lehnte die erste Fassung ab und genehmigte am 17. April 1936 das heutige Wappen ohne Schindeln (s.JPG-Fassung). Am 8. Juli 1975 wurde die oben beschriebene Form angenommen. Der Löwe mit den Schindeln entstammt dem Wappen der Grafen von Nassau-Saarbrücken, die Werkzeuge symbolisieren die Stahlindustrie und den Bergbau in der Stadt.
English: The arms were officially granted on July 8, 1975. The arms are nearly identical to the previous arms, which were granted on April 17, 1936. The only difference is the addition of the billets in the left side around the lion. The lion is the lion of Nassau and remember that the city was part of the county Nassau-Saarbrücken. The tools symbolise mining and iron industry in the city.
