ประวัติ

มัสยิดอันนูร ถูกสร้างในปีค.ศ. 1984–1985 โดยสมาคมมุสลิมแห่งแคนเทอร์เบอร์รี[1][2] รัฐบาลซาอุดีอาระเบียบริจาคเงินก่อสร้างไป 460,000 ดอลลาร์นิวซีแลนด์[3]

ใน ค.ศ. 2003 ประชาคมมุสลิมไครสต์เชิร์ชได้จัดงาน "วันชาติมุสลิมเมารี" (National Māori Muslim Day) ที่มัสยิด[4] ใน ค.ศ. 2015 ตัวมัสยิดมีสมาชิกถึง 550 คน[3]
