แผ่นดินไหวครั้งใหญ่คันโต พ.ศ. 2466 (ค.ศ. 1923) เป็นเหตุแผ่นดินไหวครั้งใหญ่ในรัชสมัยไทโชของญี่ปุ่น เกิดขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 1 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2466 ซึ่งตรงกับคริสต์ศักราช 1923 เวลา 11:58:44 น. ตามเวลาในท้องถิ่น บริเวณภาคคันโต บนเกาะฮนชู มีจุดศูนย์กลางอยู่ใต้ทะเล บริเวณเกาะอิซูโอชิมะ ในอ่าวซางามิ

แผ่นดินไหวทำความเสียหายให้กับกรุงโตเกียว เมืองท่าโยโกฮามะ จังหวัดชิบะ จังหวัดคานางาวะ และจังหวัดชิซูโอกะ [11] ประมาณการว่ามีผู้เสียชีวิตประมาณ 100,000 คน มีผู้สูญหายและคาดว่าเสียชีวิตประมาณ 40,000 คน ทั้งนี้เนื่องจากเหตุเกิดขึ้นในช่วงใกล้เที่ยงวัน ขณะประชาชนกำลังใช้เตาไฟหุงอาหาร ทำให้เกิดเพลิงไหม้ และกระแสลมแรงเนื่องจากพายุไต้ฝุ่นทางตอนเหนือของญี่ปุ่น ทำให้เกิดเพลิงลุกลาม ประกอบกับระบบท่อส่งน้ำเกิดชำรุดอันเป็นผลมาจากแผ่นดินไหว การดับเพลิงต้องใช้เวลาถึง 3 วันจนถึงวันที่ 3 กันยายน นอกจากนี้ยังเกิดดินถล่มในหลายพื้นที่
