ทรงศักดิ์ เปรมสุข สำเร็จการศึกษา จากคณะสถาปัตยกรรม สถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้า (KMITL) และจบหลักสูตรโครงการยุทธศาสตร์การจัดการตลาด จากฮาร์วาร์ด บิสิเนส สคูล ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา

คุณทรงศักดิ์ ผ่านประสบการณ์อย่างกว้างขวางในด้านการโฆษณา การตลาด และการบริหารสถานีโทรทัศน์ โดยเริ่มต้นกับเพื่อน ๆ ตั้งบริษัทออกแบบชื่อ Matchbox แม้กิจการจะไม่ประสบความสำเร็จ แต่ก็สร้างประสบการณ์ที่หาค่ามิได้พร้อมด้วยจิตใจที่รักการบุกเบิกสร้างสรรค์สิ่งแปลกใหม่อยู่เสมอ

ระหว่างปี ค.ศ. 1984 ถึงปี ค.ศ. 1991 คุณทรงศักดิ์ เติบโตบนเส้นทางอาชีพคนโฆษณาอย่างรวดเร็ว มีโอกาสเข้าร่วมงานกับริษัทโฆษณาข้ามชาติหลายแห่ง จนก้าวขึ้นสู่ตำแหน่ง ครีเอทีฟ ไดเร็กเตอร์ ของ DY&R เอเจนซี่สัญชาติญี่ปุ่น-อเมริกัน และย้ายมารับตำแหน่งกรรมการผู้จัดการ ควบเก้าอี้ครีเอทีฟ ไดเร็คเตอร์ บริษัท เอสซี แมทช์บ็อกซ์ SC Matchbox เอเจนซีที่ร่วมก่อตั้ง และร่วมลงทุนกับกลุ่มชินวัตร ในปี 1991

ภายในเวลา 3 ปี คุณทรงศักดิ์ สร้าง เอสซี แมทช์บ็อกซ์ จากเอเจนซี่ที่ไม่มีใครรู้จักกลายเป็นเอเจนซี่แนวหน้าในอุตสาหกรรม ด้วยผลงานรางวัลด้านการโฆษณาและการตลาดมากมาย ในช่วงที่คุณทรงศักดิ์ลาออกจากบริษัทในปี ค.ศ. 2001 เอสซี แมทช์บ็อกซ์ ติดอันดับหนึ่งในห้าเอเจนซี่ชั้นนำของประเทศไทย และเป็นเบอร์หนึ่งในกลุ่มเอเจนซี่สายเลือดไทย

ระหว่างปี ค.ศ. 2001 ถึงปี ค.ศ. 2002 คุณทรงศักดิ์ ย้ายไปรับตำแหน่งรองกรรมการผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายการตลาด บริษัท แอดวานซ์ อินโฟ เซอร์วิส จำกัด (เอไอเอส) ในบทบาทนี้คุณทรงศํกดิ์ สามารถพลิกภาพลักษณ์ของ “เอไอเอส” ให้กลายเป็นเครือข่ายโทรศัพท์มือถือที่นำสมัยและครองใจคนรุ่นใหม่

จากนั้นคุณทรงศักดิ์ ก้าวขึ้นสู่ตำแหน่งกรรมการผู้จัดการบริษัท ไอทีวี จำกัด (มหาชน) ที่นี่คุณทรงศักดิ์ใช้เวลาสองปี พลิกสถานะ “ไอทีวี” จากสถานี โทรทัศน์ที่มีเรตติ้งคนดูต่ำสุด กลายเป็นช่องที่มีเรตติ้งอันดับสามของประเทศ

หลังลาออกจากไอทีวี คุณทรงศักดิ์ หันมาทุ่มเทในกิจกรรมเพื่อสังคมมากขึ้น โดยอุทิศเวลาส่วนใหญ่ให้กับการทำงานมูลนิธิไทยคม ในฐานะกรรมการบริหาร, กรรมการผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ ในคณะกรรมการ สำนักงานบริหารและพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ องค์กรอิสระที่ได้รับการอุดหนุนจากรํฐบาล เพื่อทำหน้าที่ส่งเสริมการจัดการและพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ของชาติ

ระหว่างปี ค.ศ. 2009 ถึงปี 2014 คุณทรงศักดิ์ ได้เข้ามาร่วมก่อตั้ง บริษัท วอยซ์ ทีวี จำกัด ซึ่งดำเนินธุรกิจสื่อสารมวลชน ที่นำเสนอข่าวสาร, ความรู้และความบันเทิงหลากหลายช่องทาง ทั้งในรูปอินเตอร์เน็ต ทีวี, ทีวีดาวเทียม และบนเครือข่ายโทรศัพท์มือถือ โดยนำเสนอในแง่มุมที่แตกต่าง และสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้กับคนรุ่นใหม่ ดำรงตำแหน่ง กรรมการผู้อำนวยการ

ปัจจุบัน คุณทรงศักดิ์ ได้ดำรงตำแหน่ง ที่ปรึกษาบริษัท วอยซ์ ทีวี จำกัด และ ได้มีโอกาสร่วมเป็นกรรมการผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ คณะกรรมการพัฒนาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติ (สวทช) กระทรวงวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี, คณะกรรมการ สถาบันการสอนวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี (สสวท) กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ และ กรรมการมูลนิธิไทยคม

คุณทรงศักดิ์และครอบครัวพักอาศัยอยู่ในย่านบางมด พื้นที่สีเขียวในเขตชานเมืองของกรุงเทพฯ มีลูกสาว 2 คน กำลังศึกษาอยู่ที่ประเทศอังกฤษ งานอดิเรกและกิจกรรมยามว่างของคุณทรงศักดิ์ คือ การทำอาหาร ขี่จักรยาน และ เดินทางท่องเที่ยว

Songsak Premsuk graduated a degree in Architecture from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology (KMIT) and participated in a Strategic Marketing Management program at Harvard Business School in the United States.

Songsak has had an extensive experience in the fields of advertising, marketing and television broadcasting. Unlike those who freshly graduated, he started his career by joining his friends to set up an independent design firm. Though short-lived, his failed enterprise proved a valuable experience, instilling a pioneering spirit of breaking a new ground.

From 1984 until 1991, Songsak had been making an outstanding career progress in the international advertising agencies and became Creative Director of DY&R, a Japanese-American advertising agency. Songsak was appointed Managing Director and Creative Director of SC Matchbox Co., Ltd. A local advertising agency in 1991.

Within three years, he led a relatively unknown agency to a forefront of highly competitive industry, winning many advertising and marketing awards. By the time he left the company in 2001, SC Matchbox emerged as one of the top five agencies in Thailand and the country’s Number One local agency.

From 2001, until 2002, as Executive Vice President for Marketing of Advanced Info Service (AIS) Plc., Songsak was able to help rebrand AIS as the coolest and most trendy mobile phone network that captured the heart of the new generation.

He rose to a CEO position as Managing Director of ITV Plc. Co., Ltd. at the most needed time. Within two years under his managing, Songsak was able to turn the company around from the lowest ranking television channel to the third rank.

After resigning from ITV, Songsak has turned his energy and attention from business-related works to more socially-committed ones. He devoted most of his time to Thaicom Foundation where he is a member of the Executive Committee and to the Office of Knowledge Management and Development – a state – funded public organization responsible for the promotion of national knowledge management and development.

At present, Songsak is President of Voice TV Co., Ltd. – a new breed of cross-platform media company that creates and distributes content which inform, enrich and inspire the new generation.

Songsak and his family live in Bangmod area, a green suburb of Bangkok. He has two daughters, currently studying in the United Kingdom. He enjoys cooking, riding bicycles and traveling.
