งานประกาศผลรางวัลออสการ์ ครั้งที่ 14 เป็นงานมอบรางวัลสำหรับภาพยนตร์ที่เข้าฉายในปีค.ศ. 1941 จัดขึ้นที่ Biltmore Bowl, Biltmore Hotel ลอสแอนเจลิส งานในครั้งนี้เกือบจะต้องถูกยกเลิกเนื่องจากผลของการโจมตีเพิร์ลฮาร์เบอร์ในปลายปีค.ศ. 1941 ประธานอคาเดมี Bette Davis เสนอว่าให้ย้ายไปจัดงานที่หอประชุมแทนและเปิดขายบัตรให้ประชาชนทั่วไปเข้าร่วมงานโดยรายได้มอบให้กับสภากาชาด แต่แล้วก็ต้องจัดงานเล็กๆ แบบงานเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำและห้ามใส่ชุดพิธีการ
