ASA International Convention |

As the major event of ASA, the ASA International Convention was originated in 1968. The event first took off as an exhibition of design and construction materials, and have been taken onto the broader range of exhibition and seminar in later years. Besides the complete array of construction materials, design, and construction-related exhibitions and technology, ASA had developed other major activities to be part of this mega event. Since 1986, The ASA International Cenvention has become one of South East Asia premier events for design and building industry professionals. It provides the most valuable knowledge, resources, networking opportunities, services, and leading-edge products and technology in construction and design broaden fields. The growing number of participants, exhibitors, and visitors shows the continuing success of ASA International Convention. |

The 2007 event theme “Leap to the Future” aims to promote the awareness of New Generation Architects who will be the essentail force that shapes the architectural industry. The metaphore of architect profession as sprouts represents the importance of the environment that help creating decent architectural works, as good soil and proper watering helps growing the sprouts. Such environment comprises of the four elements; Designers, Builders, Owners, and Users, and that these elements are evidently recognized as our participants in the 2007’s event. |

สมาคมสถาปนิกสยามในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ (The Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King) หรือ อาษา (ASA) เป็นสมาคมของบุคคลในวิชาชีพสถาปนิกและผู้ที่สนใจในงานสถาปัตยกรรมของประเทศไทย โดยเป็นหนึ่งในสี่สมาคมวิชาชีพออกแบบสถาปัตยกรรม
สมาคมสถาปนิกสยาม เป็นองค์กรเอกชนที่มีลักษณะเป็นสมาคม ขึ้นตรงกับการควบคุมของกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม
หน้าที่
สมาคมสถาปนิกสยามมีบทบาทอย่างมากในการพัฒนาวงการวิชาชีพสถาปัตยกรรม ที่ทางด้านวิชาชีพและทางด้านวิชาการ โดยจะมีการทำงานใกล้ชิดกับ สภาสถาปนิก (Council of Thai Architects) ในเชิงของกฎหมายและกรอบการปฏิบัติวิชาชีพ ส่วนในด้านวิชาการก็จะมีการจัดพิมพ์เอกสารวิชาการและการจัดสัมนาวิชาการอยู่เสมอ นอกจากนี้ยังมีเว็บบอร์ดที่ใช้เป็นที่แลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นและความรู้โดยสมาชิก
งานอาษา
สิ่งที่ประชาชนไทยรู้จักดีที่สุดที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสมาคมสถาปนิกสยาม ได้แก่งานสถาปนิกประจำปี หรือ "งานอาษา" โดยจะจัดขึ้นเป็นประจำทุกๆ ปี ในช่วงประมาณต้นเดือนพฤษภาคม ภายในงานจะมีกลุ่มสถาปนิกอาสาที่เรียกกันว่า "หมอบ้าน" ซึ่งจะให้คำปรึกษาปัญหาการก่อสร้างฟรี มีงานแสดงผลงานของนิสิตนักศึกษาสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์จากทุกสถาบัน และผลงานของสำนักงานสถาปนิกชั้นนำของประเทศ มีการสัมนาเกี่ยวกับวิชาชีพโดยบุคคลสำคัญทั้งในและนอกวงการสถาปัตยกรรม ทั้งจากภายในและต่างประเทศ และสิ่งที่ได้รับความสนใจที่สุดคือ งานแสดงวัสดุก่อสร้าง โดยบริษัทผลิตและจำหน่ายวัสดุก่อสร้างชั้นนำของประเทศมารวมตัวกัน
งานสถาปนิกประจำปีดังกล่าว จะเรียกแตกต่างกันออกไปในแต่ละปี โดยใช้ปีพุทธศักราชในชื่อภาษาไทย (เช่น งานสถาปนิก ๔๙) และใช้คริสต์ศักราชในชื่อภาษาอังกฤษ (เช่น Architect'07)
The Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage - ASA
The Association of Siamese Architects Under Royal Patronage, or so called “ASA,” was founded in 1934 as a center for Thai architects and architectural-related colleagues. Throughout the years, ASA strongly supports the growing of Thai architectural standards, the promotion of Architect profession, and the development of Thai communities through these objectives:
1. Participating in the development of architectural values, sustainable environment, and national civilizations.
2. Supporting the unity of Thai architects, ASA members and its networking to maintain the cooperation in activities dedicating to architect profession and society.
3. Providing consultancy in architectural field and ASA benefits to ASA members and communities.
4. Enhancing and supporting architectural and architectural-related studies and researches for the continuing advancement of the profession.
5. Working with national and international institutions, organizations and government agencies in architectural activities and profession promotion.
6. Developing and monitoring architectural practices and ethics of architects.
7. Creating and developing rules and regulations of architectural practices and the certification of architectural standards.
