ตะพาบหูหนาน (อังกฤษ: Hunan softshell turtle; ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: Pelodiscus axenaria) เป็นชนิดของเต่า ในวงศ์ Trionychidae หรือวงศ์ตะพาบ เป็นสิ่งมีชีวิตเฉพาะถิ่นในประเทศจีน โดยปรากฏในมณฑลหูหนาน มณฑลกวางตุ้ง เขตปกครองตนเองกว่างซีจ้วง และมณฑลเจียงซี[4][5] และพบในอำเภอเถาหยวน อำเภอผิงเจียง อำเภอหรู่เชิ่ง เขตหลิงหลิง และจังหวัดเซ่าหยาง (Taoyuan Pingjiang Rucheng Lingling และ Shaoyang counties ตามลำดับ) ของมณฑลหูหนาน (Zhou, Zhang & Fang, 1991)
ความหมายของคำว่า axenaria ไม่ทราบแน่ชัด Gong et al. (2022) เสนอว่าอาจเป็นการสะกดผิดของคำว่า arenaria ซึ่งแปลว่า "ทราย" ในภาษาละติน[6]
