Nepenthes argentii เป็นหม้อข้าวหม้อแกงลิงชนิดที่สูง (highland) เป็นพืชพื้นเมืองบนภูเขากุดอิง-กุดอิง (Guiting-Guiting) บนเกาะซิบูยันในประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ มันอาจเป็นชนิดที่เล็กที่สุดในสกุล ต้นของมันไม่ปรากฏว่ามีการเลื้อยไต่[1] ซึ่งชื่อ Nepenthes argentii ได้ตั้งชื่อตาม "จอร์จ อาร์เจนต์" (George Argent)
N. argentii เป็นไม้พุ่มเตี้ยอาศัยอยู่ในภูมิประเทศแบบแอลป์ สูงประมาณ 30 เซนติเมตร บนดินแบบอัลตราเมฟิก[2] สูงจากระดับน้ำทะเลประมาณ 1,400 เมตร[2]
N. argentii ไม่มีลูกผสมตามธรรมชาติรวมทั้งไม่มีรูปแบบหรือความหลากหลายต่าง ๆ ที่ถูกบันทึกไว้ บนภูเขากุดอิง-กุดอิง พบ N. argentii อยู่ที่เดียวกันกับ N. sibuyanensis ที่ความสูงประมาณ 1800 เมตร[3][1] และก็คล้ายกับ N. alata ที่สามารถพบได้ในระดับความสูง 800 - 1000 เมตร[4]ด้วย ส่วนพืชถิ่นเดียวชนิดอื่น ๆ บนภูเขาก็มี Lobelia proctorii[5] และ Rhododendron rousei[6]
