บาซิลลัสทูริงเยนซิส (อังกฤษ: Bacillus thuringiensis) หรือ "บีที" เป็นแบคทีเรียที่อาศัยอยู่ในดิน ซึ่งสามารถใช้เป็นทางเลือกในการกำจัดศัตรูพืชแบบชีวภาพได้ บีที ก็มีอยู่ไส้ของหนอนผีเสื้อหลายๆชนิดทั้งผีเสื้อและผีเสื้อกลางคืน[1]
ในระยะการออกสปอร์ บีทีหลายๆสายพันธุ์จะผลิตโปรตีนผลึก (proteinaceous inclusions) เรียกว่า δ-endotoxins ซึ่งโปรตีนนี้เองที่มีฤทธิเป็นสารกำลังแมลง ทำให้มีการใช้บีทีเป็นทางเลือกในการกำจัดแมลง และยังทำให้เกิดการตัดต่อพันธุ์กรรมของพืชให้ต้านทานแมลงโดยใช้ยีนส์ของบีทีใส่เข้าไป อย่างไรก็ตามมีบีทีอยู่หลายสายพันธุ์ที่ไม่มีผลในการกำจัดแมลงศัตรูพืช[2]
